DISCOVER THE FACE BEHIND AMO EN VERDE
¡Hello I'm Vanessa!
HFounder of Amo en Verde and I am very happy that you are here. I'm going to tell you a little about my story, during my childhood I lived surrounded by tropical beauty near the mountains, in a little town called San Antonio de Escazú in Costa Rica.
As a child, I learned from my father to love nature and my passion for plants led me to study agronomy, then to fulfill one of my dreams: do a Master degree in Brazil. But studying in a big city like São Paulo meant living among cement, in a small apartment with little natural light.
Between classes, studying, and traveling during my master's degree, I had little time for to care my plants, and ironically, many of them died. Before I realized it, I had stopped gardening and started to feel far from nature.
At time I began to suffer anxiety and panic attacks, so I turned to meditation, yoga and looking for something else I could do to calm my mind, I came across terrariums and it was love at first sight.
During my free time I began to create these microecosystems in bottles, my small apartment was filled with many glass plants, and since they were self-watering, did not die due to my lack of time.
The moments of creating these mini-worlds became my moments of reflection, of staying connected with nature while living in a big city. Terrariums reminded me our connection to the Earth and the importance of caring our common home.
Therefore, with great enthusiasm and determination I decided to leave the academic focus of my professional career and decided to follow my own path, the one I dreamed of,
the one my father taught me...
This is how AMO EN VERDE was born, a space where I help you remember your connection with nature and improve your bond with it.
